The conscience. What is that actually?
When I help someone I feel so good that I could jump up, hug the world with happiness. A voice tells me that I have done good. Warm sound waves emerge and hug my body with happiness. Happiness is something special, something wonderful. How important values and norms are is incredible. Without them, human coexistence could never function. The humane values are the goal orientation of the good trade of the people, norms are the rules of the game of life. When they are kept, we have order and good fellowship. That's so good. And the bad conscience in contrast? What if people do not have an awareness of values? Well, there is, so to speak, a judgment of the conscience in the deepest, most hidden core of the human being. Conscience is a good thing because it protects us from bad choices. For example, if I do something mean, then a process is going on in my head and the judgment follows. I have to follow this because (religiously) it is important to listen to God's voice. Everyone should learn from their mistakes and make them up again (as best as possible). And what about unconscious mistakes? They are not written badly. It's an accident. Don't worry :) So in summary: the conscience is a voice in the head that tells us whether we have done good or bad and we have to follow the judgment. Otherwise, a bad conscience can haunt us for a lifetime. That would be a nuisance and not a good thing. The clarification of values and norms are very important and one should adhere to values such as willingness to help, empathy ... (desirable how people should act) and norms such as: "Help blind people across the street!" / "Don't lie! "... (norm = defined standard / regulation). Then the world has its order.
