Beauty and the Beastly Fae King

Susan owns and runs a bakery next to an old bookstore. One that has been in the small town she lives in... well... since forever. The older gent that currently runs it always comes in for his usual blueberry crumb muffin with a coffee, black, in the mornings. When he doesn't show up on time, she goes to check on him.

Finding the door unlocked, she opens it. However, instead of a bookstore, she became transported to a realm she doesn't recognize. When she turns around to go back out the door, she finds the door no longer there.

Now she is in a realm filled with Fae creatures and its King ends up capturing her. He is handsome. Just like a prince charming from a fable. Except, he acts like he is a beast. And at night, some monster roams the castle halls. The King warned her not to wander the castle at night and to stay out of the east wing.

Kalen allows one Fae at a time in the human realm. When old man Eron forgets to close the portal in his shop and a human finds her way into the realms, he has to capture her. He is not pleased to have a human in his lands or in his home. Especially since the rose now wilts. If it dies, then he will be transformed into a beast for all time.

However, the more time he spends with her. The more he becomes attracted to her and the more he wants her. She is beautiful and her baking skills are... magical. Yet, some dark force is lurking in the shadows and is trying to whisk his human away. Now he must protect her and keep her safe.

Can the two get along long enough to fall in love, or will dark forces tear them apart?
