In the future, a nuclear explosion wipes out most of the world. The remaining humans and creatures are captured by an alien race known as Xoreans from the planet Xore that arrived on Earth, deeming the planet finally safe for themselves. They mutate the remaining animals, breeding them until they become stronger, faster, and more vicious. These mutations are used as guard creatures that wathc over the people in the cities. The guards also use the lowest ones to fight each other to prove that they are worthy of promotion. One of them, a wolf cub deemed Number 59, is a female white wolf that was mutated so she had wings. Will she be able to overthrow the Xoreans, or even survive? Or will she be killed in this kill-or-be-killed world...?

(This is book 3 of the P.O.E. Chronicles, Read book 1 Evolution and book 2 Selection if you haven't already) I never wanted a war. All I wanted to do was to get things back to the way they were and to keep those I love safe. But it turns out that everything was just an illusion, that the reality I lived in was all but a lie. That world was no place to live, and in order to make a better future, a future that so many have sacrificed so much to try and archive before me, I had to fight. And to do that I needed to find out the truth, no matter what horrors lie beneath it. The web of lies, of secrecy, of betrayal, is spun so far, so fine, so wide that I had been seeing only a corner of it. I didn't know if I have the strength to go on, but I know that if I don't step up, the world as we have known it will end. If you asked her four years ago what she imagined herself doing in the future, Abigail Beckett could safely tell you that it doesn't involve political meetings, living in an ancient castle and seeking advice from a three hundred years old Original. Having discovered her roots, she had inherited the responsibility to make sure the world doesn't end by the terrorist group Apocalypse and make peace among POE and Legres. With the fate of many of her friends still uncertain, she must race against time to uncover the Apocalypse's plan, pacify the government, and tried not to get killed by her grandmother. After the Earth has been struck by a nuclear explosion causing a genetic mutation, the survivors divided themselves according to what intelligence they belonged to. But when mankind completely lost humanity, how can Abigail fulfill her promise? ***** When a nuclear explosion called The Swept wiped half of the Earth's remaining population, those who survived then were exposed to a radiation. A radiation causing a genetic mutation in an individual's brain and altering its intellectual capacity resulting to an increase in Intelligence Quotient (IQ) level. However, years after the explosion happened, the decrease in fertility rate became visible. Due to this, numerous scientists searched everywhere and tried everything just to find a cure, but all they could ever find is an alternative way of reproduction. An inhumane way. Born under the Natural District--one of the five districts of the Pentagon, Abigail Azarcon is an empathetic but reckless girl who believes that nothing is more important to this world other than humanity. Because of this, she's determined to enter Nucleus Academy and eager to fulfill her promise--to restore Earth's humanity especially empathy, and to prove that being humane is limitless. But how can she fulfill her promise if there are so many overwhelming obstacles blocking her way? Apathetic people. Inhumane experiments. Mad scientists. And a strange organization. Will she be able to fulfill her promise or will she break it and gave up on mankind? LANGUAGE: TAGLISH (TAGALOG-ENGLISH)

The Girl with Butterfly Wings | ✔️

32 chapitres Terminé

(Completed/Old version) Year 2020 A mutation in humans DNA modified about half the population. Changing them into creatures and giving them magical abilities that were only found in books and movies. Reason? No one knows. That is until scientists from a strange company start taking in Mutants and training them for who knows what. Two step siblings who wanted no part in this are now being tasked with a dangerous mission and on the run from the police. Can the two stop society from turning in on themselves before it's too late? -- I looked at Reese as tears filled her eyes. The girl with butterfly wings disappeared leaving the two of us alone. A warm breeze blew by making the tall grass and our hair dance in the wind. 'I didn't ask for this', she said before wiping her eyes with her hands. "Nobody did, Reese but it's up to us to save the world," I said standing up and held out my hand. "Are you ready to become a superhero with me?" She took my hand and smiled. A smile I haven't seen in a long time, 'No.' "Me neither." Complete- December 2019 Rewrite is now available tilted 'Wild Soul: The Historian and the Seer'
