The Pioneers

After an accident at Earth's Deep Space Portal, four school students find themselves lost on an unknown planet with nothing but their cumulative knowledge and a few pieces of wreckage. This middle grade novel puts a modern spin on space colonization with a hero discovering his sexuality and coping with his introversion. By growing as a team, they succeed in rebuilding a version of the world that they had lost while learning more about the seemingly empty planet they find themselves on.
