This book accentuates a life of a poor and bullied Korean American girl, called Lee Sun-Hee who prefers to be called as 'Sunny'. Sunny has lived in the States for almost her whole life. She’s only got her father to take care of and devote her life for. Sunny is bright and hard-working, who deeply cares about the people around her and does anything in the world to help them to feel comfortable. Especially her father.
On her eighteenth birthday not everything goes as she planned. Her father prevails a terrible secret, that concerns not only her but her future as well. This is where Sunny's life begins to flip upside down, forever changed! She’s forced to move to her homeland: South Korea.
The story doesn't only tell about her way of overcoming hardships, plots, distress but also dealing with
people she values and truly treasures. She receives love from not only one person but two! But will she accept them?
