"Sit. The fuck. Down," she said instead, her voice dropping into a warning tone.
But he only matched her and lowered his head just a tiny bit, so their eyes were perfectly levelled. His face was about three inches from hers, and she could study all the sharp and non-boyish features of his face.
"Why. Do. You. Avoid. Me." It wasn't a question anymore.
"Because you scare me."
