This story is about a 14 year old girl named Melissa Escobar. Melissa recently moved to a new neighborhood with her mother. They moved to spooksville street. Melissa is an only child and her father passed away in a car accident 1 month ago. One day when Melissa is home alone the door bell rings. Melissa reluctantly opens the door and finds a pink colored box. Melissa opens the box and finds a note written with blood. Is Melissa's life in danger? Who could've wrote that note? What should Melissa do? Read this book to find out.
