Rune has always been good at killing. She excels at luring unsuspecting sailors in, enchanting them with the spell of her song and dragging them to her home under the sea. Rune is a siren - a creature with the ability to transfix and control men using only her voice. She wants nothing more than to drown sailors, doing her part to feed herself and her people, but everything changes when the siren queen goes missing, leaving the crown to Rune's unprepared sister. Desperate to bring her mother home, Rune embarks on a journey to the one place no siren would think to look: the uncharted territory of the human world.
