In July, he was everything. Sweet words, half-sung lullabies, poems written at midnight, a boy who promised the kind of love you'd only ever read about. But July was built on borrowed time and borrowed hearts never stay.

It's August now. But it's still July in my head, on repeat -the month he said he wouldn't leave.
