People always say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Of course, they mean this metaphorically. Unfortunately for my life, I don't have much time for metaphors.

Ariel Lowell only knew one, concrete, certifiable fact about life: protect her family at all costs. Even when she found out at the tender age of 11 that her father and brother were supernatural creatures, she didn't run away with her mother. She stayed and did what she knew best. Protect.
Staying with her father and brother meant living a life on the run, moving from town to town to keep their secrets. As soon as one problem arose, it was back on the road again. That's how they found themselves in not only the little town of Wise Creek, Oregon, but also in hot water once again. Only this time, Ariel finds a reason to stay. She meets Jonah, a next-in-line Alpha with a bad attitude. He awakens something inside of her, a power she didn't know she had. With new found abilities, a secret cult of hunters coming after them, and a blurring line between love and hate, Ariel and her family have no choice but to stay, fight, and figure out what in the actual hell is going on.
One thing is for sure, they aren't about to go down without a fight.

It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her?
