Then she finds out superheroes do indeed exist and starts to wonder if there's any connection between them and the apparent powers she has..? But the thing is, they gain power from magic jewels, and she doesn't have any.. Right?

Who knew a kwami could be akumatized? This is a fanfiction and I don't own all concepts. I'm a stickler for canon, but this was written before the second season came out.
