She had made him want to stick around a little longer, maybe her presence would make the pain from Johnny's death subside. He couldn't stay for long, he had to get to Buck's house and figure out where to go, but he couldn't shake the feeling of how much she looked like Johnny Cade. June Cade had been sent away at the age of 6 to her Aunt's house in New York because of her continuous bad behavior. When she hears about what happened to her brother, she's devastated. She runs away from New York to see her brother one last time since they were 5 and 6. But when she almost makes it through that small town of Tulsa, almost making it to the hospital, she runs into a very attractive man that is bleeding with a gun in his hand. [CURRENTLY BEING EDITED. I just finished chapter 6, so after that Winnie becomes Allison and instead of being Soda's twin she's like 11 months younger than him. The writing style will also be a little different] Fantastic. First I failed to mediate a family argument, now my baby brother and best friend are on the run for murder. This night cannot get any worse. And through everything that's been going on, the only person who can calm my anxiety is the last person I would expect to. And I can't help but wonder if one day they'll abandon me too. But let me introduce myself first. Most know me merely as Winnie Curtis. Only those closest to me get to call me "Sissy," and only one person is allowed to call me "Doll" without getting their teeth knocked in. Lots of people probably only know me as "that greaser girl." But ask any Soc and they'll tell you that i'm that greaser girl who will beat the tar out of anyone who dares hurt her brothers. I know y'all have probably heard our story before.
