A story taking place on the edge of a rural 1970's Colorado town; Aurelia and Hunter's love story unfolds as they grow older, realizing the love that they hold for each other is anything but friendship.
Excerpt:
"They had spent all day in the garden planting flowers, watering the wilting ones, and meticulously placing decorative stones around the beds of roses throughout the grass. It was a typical Wednesday in the middle of October, but to Aurelia, it was a beautiful day. And so was every day. The chilly autumn wind swept through her shoulder-length auburn hair as she walked around the large garden, footsteps falling close behind those of the boy she's seen every day for most of her life [...] Aurelia and Hunter had known each other since they were three years old and Hunter's family, the Brooks, had just moved in down the deserted snow-covered road the Rayne's resided on at the edge of town. Aurelia, at three years old, had pointed out a person walking their dog, which turned out to become an invitation for dinner that night, and since that day, their families had never been closer."

"What's with the glare? Just a few admirers for the beauty, West." I smirk, teasing his jealousy. "Because beautiful doesn't justify you sweetheart, you... you're not just beautiful, you're extraordinary. And it drives me mad. I don't want anyone else laying eyes on you. They wouldn't survive the night if they tried." "What will you do about it? Threaten them?" I move closer to him. His hand finds my face, gently stroking my cheek, "If I have to. Anyone who thinks they can take you, better think twice. You are precious to me, you're not just another pretty face. You are mine and I'm yours, and I intend to keep it that way. " **************** Madison Rose Monroe is a charming, yet stubborn 18-year-old that wants nothing but to pass her senior year at Mount View High. Getting through her classes is all she wants. (Attention: definitely not the story I'm most proud of... wrote this in my free time, wasn't too into detail - at all. I actually don't recommend this book, but hey, I won't stop you from checking it out!) Meet Skye Kormenton, a fifteen year old girl without a bust or booty, skinny, and short. Surprisingly, her best friend, Charlotte Andrews is considered the most beautiful in their class. Skye's love life is hopeless (how relatable), she's got a crush on an Italian boy named Antonio Rossi, only the hottest guy ever. Thing is, Antonio's best friend, Hunter Ashton, has a crush on Charlotte. So, Skye and Hunter make a deal to pair each other with their crushes. Skye with Antonio, and Hunter with Charlotte. But sparks fly between Skye and Hunter during their plan's process, and their deal goes astray.
