A story taking place on the edge of a rural 1970's Colorado town; Aurelia and Hunter's love story unfolds as they grow older, realizing the love that they hold for each other is anything but friendship. Excerpt: "They had spent all day in the garden planting flowers, watering the wilting ones, and meticulously placing decorative stones around the beds of roses throughout the grass. It was a typical Wednesday in the middle of October, but to Aurelia, it was a beautiful day. And so was every day. The chilly autumn wind swept through her shoulder-length auburn hair as she walked around the large garden, footsteps falling close behind those of the boy she's seen every day for most of her life [...] Aurelia and Hunter had known each other since they were three years old and Hunter's family, the Brooks, had just moved in down the deserted snow-covered road the Rayne's resided on at the edge of town. Aurelia, at three years old, had pointed out a person walking their dog, which turned out to become an invitation for dinner that night, and since that day, their families had never been closer."
