In the land of Aldyn, mages are feared. They are seen as living weapons, bombs just waiting to explode. Which, of course, means that every noble needs to get their hands on one.

Rune mages are rare and frankly everyone knows rune mages don't usually survive the training required to become a sanctioned mage. Rouge mages are hunted and killed. Logan Lofe is determined to finish the mage training as top mage, despite being a rune mage and limited to runes. But his success comes at a high price even he can't predict. In a battle of him against an army, will his rune magic be enough? You might enjoy this story if you like first person narratives, like magic and (possibly overpowered) underdogs who may or may not gradually become less stable as the story goes on.
