The man stared at the fire, beer bottle in hand. How did he get here? When did he get here? He stared at the fire in the trunk of the tree, not noticing his hand gliding to it, though the fire didn't burn him as he got close. A feeling filled his chest as he watched the flames twist and lick at the wood... It was almost like he was seeing an old friend again... His eyes were glazed over as the fire began to grow a twisted smile, though it was too late, he couldn't pull away, his hand wasn't listening, it was over now, the fire grew an arm and went to grab him the rest of the way, he closed his eyes and-

A loud beeping woke the 26 year old from his sleep, and he jolted up. He looked at the nightstand, pounding hangover attacking his scared mind. He turned off the alarm and slowly rolled out of bed, ignoring the reoccurring dream. 

He got his pajamas off and grabbed his work uniform, getting ready for the day as he ignored the feeling of being watched.
