Merry Christmas from your favorite family from Port-Alexander Ranch. You've watched them grow up, fall in love, get married, and pop out a LOT of babies. Now it is time to check in and see how they're doing this Christmas season. This short novella is the perfect update that you didn't know you needed. The highlight of this Christmas is a short visit home from our favorite broody man's youngest daughter.

Granger might be over the moon excited for his daughter coming home from college for Christmas, but he's hardly thrilled that she's bringing a guest of the male persuasion. Ella Turner may have had her fair share of boyfriends, but none that she dared to introduce to her dad. That was until she met Dustin Lawson. She's all country, but he was born and raised in the city. He's not above getting a little dirty if that means showing a bunch of hardass men that he's worthy of Ella. That task may be a bit more difficult than originally planned.

If he succeeds, he'll find himself welcomed into a family in a way he has never imagined. If he fails, well let's just say that Granger still has plenty of farmland and nobody would ever suspect a thing. Regardless, Christmas at Port-Alexander Ranch this is year bound to be one for the memory books.

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations for a twenty-four-year-old. While others her age might be in college or embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! It is then that her plans and dreams for her future shatter. Nothing is more important to her than her family, people who need her and her strength more than Ada needs her dreams. "And it took me a while to realize it, but everything I've had to go through in this life, all the pain and sadness I've had to bear . . . well, its led me straight to you." • • • After tragedy strikes Morgan Scott's family, she finds her life changing drastically again and again throughout many failed attempts of starting over. It doesn't seem to matter where Morgan ends up, the secrets and pain of her past continue to haunt her, reminding her that "starting over" isn't nearly as easy as it sounds. Ending up in her father's hometown a few months after the day her life changed forever, Morgan finds her life changing once again, and she only hopes that this time will be for the better. It isn't until after a run-in with the town's golden boy, Jack Crawford, that Morgan realizes no amount of starting over will take away the memories of the past. What Morgan doesn't know is that Jack has a secret of his own that's eerily similar to hers. And what neither of the two know is that their secrets will unintentionally bring them together, reminding the duo that they aren't as alone as they often feel.
