Alexandrea Jacobson is finding herself on the trip that everyone wishes they go on. Leaving her family in her small town of St.Charels, Montana to go on her cross country trip with 5 of her best friends. No plan of where their going they drive continuously until they feel like they found what they're looking for. They meet new friends and some "very friendly" people. For her friends they soon learn that things will be hard being together basically every second of the day. The good thing is the get to meet so many new people on the way to where ever their going.
Especially when her best friend, since the 5th grade, has had a crush on her for awhile now. The problem is he doesn't have the guts to tell her and no one knows about his "little" crush.

When sixteen-year-old Y/n visits her grandparents in Alabama after many years of being unwillingly cut out of their lives, that's precisely what she intends to do. Over the course of her time there, she gets reacquainted, reliving the shadows of childhood that once evaded her memories, and tries to forget all of her troubles amidst a place overflowing with comfort, warmth, and love. This hope unravels when a paranormal entity takes an interest in her, and she soon begins to suffer daunting symptoms that are directly linked to a mysterious illness. Before our young protagonist even knows it, she's been swept away to a cryptic settlement nestled deep in the woods by a group of Tim Burton-esque strangers who lack common courtesy and have no problem getting blood on their hands. She's told that she's in danger and must learn to block out the influence of what they call 'Slenderman'-a wicked creature with a lust for humankind and control-before she becomes a mindless shell devoted to its wishes like so many others before her.
