Harry and Gemma Styles are living the life. Other than their mother, Anne, dying back in 2004 in a plane crash, they were doing good. There stepdad had a successful job, a nice home, and plenty of food in the pantry. But one day that all fades. Dan comes home one night drunk as can be, scaring the two kids. He starts hitting them and being inappropriate with Gemma, and this goes on for a countless number of years. The "family" loses their home, has no food, and Dan has no job. Dan eventually gets desperate for money and starts selling drugs, leading into him getting into them. The past 10 years just kept going downhill for the two; except one day at school, Harry is introduced to student exchange program. Is this their light at the end of the tunnel? Are they finally going to be able to leave Dan?
