Cat claims she doesn't have feelings. She never wants to be too close to anyone, she never wants to become attached to anything, and she most certainly NEVER wants to fall in love.
But when the only girl ever to have escaped Cat's hostility - her best friend Lia - introduces her to her new foster brother, she realises that much as she may hate him for it, she's fallen for Ollie Matthews. The boy that Lia herself is smitten with and has already claimed for herself.
Cat doesn't make friends so she can't afford to lose one. The choice between Lia and Ollie should be easy for someone so lacking in feelings but as Cat begins to discover; barriers cannot stand forever, and one day she will have to begin the trek that will hopefully result in eventually finding her emotions of her own.
