"You don't hate me?" Mabel asked. There was no way George didn't look at her differently. Not when everyone else would. 

George shook his head. "I don't. Even if I tried, I can't. I mean, the whole time I've known you, you've taught me how to love beasts and creatures and people I wouldn't normally." 

Mabel could've cried right there and then. That's all she wanted. For people to see the world as she did.

George brushed a piece of hair behind her ear. "So, it's your fault, really," George added. Mabel chuckled. 

"You think I'm a beast?" Mabel teased. 

George's lips curled into an attractive smile.
