I feel the anger boiling up in me, and the urge to rip my hair out growing with it. I start to feel tears forming in my eyes, and I can't help but burst into tears. I try to slow my breathing until he takes a step closer to me tucking my hair behind my ear. I look down to the motion of his hand taking mine and his other coming up to lift my head to look at him. He then looks to my lips and smiles touching my lip with his thumb. "Kareem" I say but I can hardly make a voice. his touch sends me shivers down mine spine making me speechless. "Shh, shh, don't be scared, hold onto me" He says pulling me in to a tight hug The lights of my room start to flicker and walls start to shake, sending my lamp to crash to the floor but he doesn't let go, he just tightly holds me in his arms as if he's afraid to let go. "Kareem whats going on, are you doing this?" "shhh, it's ok" he says before I feel ourselves lift of the floor, and turn into thin air.......... MANAL

A few minutes into the walk, I heard footsteps shuffling behind me. I tensed up and halted in my tracks. My heart began to pound violently in my chest. I felt too afraid to even do anything. I stayed glued to my spot, but that didn't stop the footsteps from approaching. Mustering all of the courage left in me, I spun around and to my utmost horror, two men - more like thugs were standing just few inches away from me. Ya Allah, please protect me! I don't want to die like this. I spun back around and started walking, my pace increasing rapidly. "Hey! Where the f*** do you think you're going, bit**" One of the men slurred. By the tone of his voice, I could tell he was tipsy or high. The rate of my fear intensified. MANAL ❤ ©2019
