My name is Rafe and you would think my death would be the end for me, but it seems it is really my beginning and no I'm not talking vampires, werewolves etc, nothing so simple. Ascension is a place, and it is my new home, we all ascend, or correction, we are all destined to ascend unless we fall prey to the Dark Ones, which can only happen while flesh-born, or as the ascended ones say, trapped in a body on Earth. Earth is the battleground, the rite of passage for any Light One wishing to ascend.
So the two most precious Light Ones are sent for their own Right of Passage to Earth, however the enemy is closer than anyone thinks and something has gone wrong with the transition and birth to Flesh-born, the Two retained some of their gifts while in Flesh, something which should not be possible while flesh-bound. Just my luck I fell in love with one of them and it cost me my life.
