Amid the flag hoisting ceremony one Monday morning, first-year Isabella couldn't take the heat and passes out. Waking up, she finds herself next to a stranger - and with a fraction of painful memories. That recollection stings her, perhaps more than the sun does, and she soon launches into an interminable cry. It is that stranger, Student Council secretary Rania Nebula, who helps her tame that resurfacing agony.

Several months later, Isabella and Rania are the best of friends, but unforeseen circumstances have forced the two to wave an untimely goodbye. On a seven-hour train ride to Surakarta, in what is supposed to be a farewell trip, Isabella revisits the past, while trying to come to terms with the future.
