Zayn hadn't asked to have this power. Some could call it a blessing, others a gift. But Zayn saw it for what it really was-a curse. He didn't want the power to end someone's life just by a small skin-to-skin touch. He didn't want to have to isolate himself from the world just to avoid accidentally touching someone. Life had never been good to Zayn, but then again, he could only take that away.

Niall hadn't asked to have this power. Some would beg for him to touch them, others to touch desceased loved ones. But Niall saw it for what it really was-dangerous power. He didn't want to extend someone's life by touching them. He didn't want to bring people back from the dead. So he did the only thing he thought was safe; hiding.

Maybe it was fate, maybe it was destiny. But no matter what it was, they both knew that running into each other had been no coincidence.
