How the hell did I get here?

The same question that has plagued my mind for over a year now .
But this time, a different reason triggered this question. 
Restrained by the chains holding my wrists above my head I can't make much of my surroundings but I'm sure of two things

1. I'm in a basement
2. There definitely a decaying body in the corner of the room 

The latter being the reason for this pungent smell.  
If I don't get out of here soon I might be the next dead body. Sucks right?. If it were under different circumstances I would have welcomed this death because honestly, I'm tired. But I can't give up now, I have to find him.
