The Silent Storm Academy, renowned as the pinnacle of academic excellence, and a safe haven for those born with the Altered Gene, known as Altere. However, in the Academy's long history, there have never been two Principals at the helm, but the destinies of Marie Stanislaus and Vanessa Terrell have always been inexplicably intertwined. From a bloody race war between their respective nations and households, ended only on paper, to their falling in love with Dorian Marx, a man who, with the help of Cordelia, an evil witch, deceived them both, almost destroying the Academy, killing their friends and family in the process. A horrid deception proving to be the catalyst for the forging of an unbreakable bond between the two, who are forced to kill the man they love, and father to their unborn sons, Jason and Riley. Despite the terrible losses suffered, and the shame of carrying bastard children for a monster, Marie and Vanessa soldier on and jointly assume the helm of the Academy, embarking on a lengthy process of rebuilding and modernization, much to the ire of Marie's aging father, Ike Stanislaus, who still clings to the bigoted ways of the past. 18 years on, Marie and Vanessa find themselves summoned to a gathering of the Council of Allied Nations, to publicly answer for the unsolved kidnappings of newly awakened Altere. Calls are made for the assignment of joint leadership of the Academy to the Central Defense Force, headed by the crooked General Kross, in the absence of immediate improvements; an ultimatum which could finally prove to be the pair's undoing as Cordelia shows her hand, revealing her involvement in the kidnappings, while also promising to unite their sons with their long-lost father. As Marie and Vanessa begin to question themselves, horrified by the idea of their former lover still being alive, the public's faith in the Silent Storm dwindles, and Cordelia grows more confident, inching ever closer to the realization of a diabolical plot.

COMPLETED // Highest Ranking: #12 in Science Fiction As the author I feel the responsibility to warn you of what you will encounter if you choose to read The Academy For Genetically Altered Children series: -a boy whose life depends on a rock -a lurking monster -a lot of sassiness -strange powers -a future that might not be far off from our own -a room full of weapons -strange, vivid dreams -bullies -children infused with animals -students disappearing - SO MUCH MORE // Even among a genetically altered society Andromeda Lovelace, Kai Kinsman, Layla DeStone, and Orion Hornthaw are considered far from normal. The GOP (Government Owned Property) Children were created, their genes professionally selected before they even came into existence. Birthed by surrogate mothers for the government, these four children have to discover just how they came to be, why they exist, and what the New Nation expects from them. At the age of twelve, they each are selected for the Academy for Genetically Gifted Children; an institution for "special" children. There, they will face insane tasks, meet a diverse group of kids and adults, and uncover secrets about themselves, the academy, and the government--ones that might better be kept hidden. Meanwhile, something sinister is haunting the academy's grounds and the GOP Children are facing inner battles of their own: Andi is having drastically realistic nightmares, Kai's life depends on a rock, Layla is hearing screams and whispers, and Rion has secrets of his own. Join the four GOP Children on a journey that may make you question things about yourself, the future, and what is right and what is inhumane in a world that may not be so far off--and maybe, just maybe you'll even see a little bit of yourself in each character. // This is my first novel, so I'm fairly new to this haha.
