Audrey Van Der Woodsen never thought her life could change so drastically within a matter of days. But it did when she met Lillian Grey, dean of the Academy of Sorcery. Tragic events bring out Audrey's hidden magical powers and leaves her no choice but to go to the Academy. Audrey dreads it but soon learns she is the descendant of one of the four most powerful sorcerers and is the only one who can access a portal that separates our world and the ruins of a magical one. That makes her the most powerful and most wanted, therefor putting her life in more danger than ever. As she tries to manage her new powers and new friendships, she meets Rufus, another student and Lillian's son.
But meeting him doesn't make life at the Academy any more fun for Audrey. To do so, she takes advantage of the portal only she can access and travels between worlds. In that time she meets another boy Pano but finds that she made a stronger connection with him than anyone else she's met. Maybe it's because he's another powerful descendant or because Audrey has a piece of the dark side inside of her. None of that matters when dark forces arise, in search of Audrey and the destruction of the Academy. The portal separating both worlds is destined to be broken but it's up to Audrey and her friends to protect it no matter who they have to fight against. Even if it breaks hearts or bonds with people they thought they could trust.

It has been stuck in my head as a huge romance lover as i had imagined myself as the main character and fantasized what it would be like to be put in the story and I'm using this platform to be able to have it on paper) My grammar might not be the best but sense I'm putting the effort into typing it all out I figured I should post it for others to read aswell. On top of this, she and her sister witches are the only ones who have figured out that the prophecy refers to Priti, not a sorcery student at all! The conspiracy against witches revealed, Priti sets out to right all wrongs, hampered only slightly by the Vice Chancellor's repeated attempts to murder her. In 'Profs and Prophecy' there is no easy way out for Priti. No handsome prince will arrive to save her at the last minute. Sora has no place in the world. She is meant to be a strong warrior, with the ability to shift into a wolf. She is none of those things, and looked down upon because of it. It brings shame to her, it brings shame to her family, and worst of all, it brings shame upon her prideful and strong brother. There is but one person who truly knows and loves her, but does he really? Magic is not the weapon of a warrior, magic is the weapon of a coward. Sora has been told that all her life, but she has magic within her, recently awakened, and so she has begun to doubt it. Still, witchcraft is punishable by death, and so Sora must be careful with her practices, lest she lose all she has. Sora is a better witch than wolf, though not by much, but she still pursues that craft in spite of the dangers. Her place in the world is a dangerous one, but will it last? The world she lives in is a dangerous one, and such a life as hers rarely ends happily. Disclaimer: this is a short prequel, Sora's story does not conclude with this one. If you finish this book and go "oh, that's the end?" it's because it's not the end. I'm writing a trilogy called Mortance that explores the larger world that this takes place in and concludes Sora's story more thoroughly than in this book.
