"She looked ethereal."

In a world of nobility, where kingdoms meet and war and peace is created, Persephone did not fit in. She wasn't like the rumours she heard, she despised them.
Not a fitting "princess of a powerful empire" right?

Of course she loved her people, however she just doesn't see herself being an Empress one day in the future. Furthermore, no one really knows what happens behind the palace walls...what she feels and...knows.

She didn't know her purpose standing there acting all pretty for the other nobles to see in a ball, she had to have the highest form of etiquette by the best teacher, she had to...had to live up to those rumours about her. Even though she hates everything about it.

She's not like the rumours, "lady-like" when she's indeed not. She enjoys men outfit and wishes there could be one made for her everyday she glances over the men. She enjoys riding in the morning. Alone. To clear her mind. She hates being called "innocent" but she's powerful. She hates being the minor one when to be betrothed...marriage, she hates marriage because women are supposed to feed off their husband and do absolutely nothing in the house...like a doll.

"I want to run away" she says everyday, and you'll understand why.

You'll ask "she's literally a princess, why doesn't she fix the rumours and run away herself?"

Simple answer: her parents. She feels like she is chained to the empire unable to move...it's like hell.

Then she met Hades, a strange man. Heard the rumours but could he be different to them? Like her?

Corinna Báthory, 16th-century nobility, is kidnapped and thrown into a male detective academy in present-day Florida. But they grabbed the wrong girl. Season 1 of Agents of Time ***** It's 1585, and things could not possibly be going any slower for Corinna Báthory. Overwhelmed with expectations as Hungarian nobility and the trials and tribulations of becoming a female playwright in a field dominated by men, Corinna would do anything for a change of pace. Of course, there's nothing better to speed up the narrative than being kidnapped...and being accused of being a serial killer. ***** [[ THE WATTY'S 2021 SHORTLIST ]]
