Back when Muzan and Tamayo were still together. They encountered a weak man obsessed with unlocking the boundaries of nature. His name was Kaika Junichi and he had accepted Muzan's blood because of his obsession.

Muzan saw him as someone who could be useful, Tamayo saw him as a friend.

When the day Muzan and Tamayo had split up due to a Slayer being able to force Muzan to retreat. Both Tamayo and Kaika had a new goal
