So, Katsuki went to UA, and Izuku quietly said, "thanks for the opportunity, but no thanks," and switched to an advanced online schooling option. It was just the rule of the world, and rules were rules. Some things couldn't be helped. Besides... He had a feeling UA would ask too many questions about the constant bruising blooming so beautifully across his face that Aldera staff had so pointedly ignored. And even if UA didn't ask questions about the bruises and abrasions on his face, they definitely would about the ones across his busted knuckles. In the Pit, Midoriya Izuku didn't exist. In the Pit, he was Viper. In the Pit, Viper was a quirkless fighter who still faced prejudice and bias, but everyone fought quirkless in the Pit, so at least it was a level playing field. In the real world, Midoriya Izuku put on a smile and explained his bruises away on him being quirkless and finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. In the Pit, Viper fought back viciously quick and calculating, earning every bruise and giving back just as many. And sometimes he even won.

After the sports festival, he drastically changed due to the words that Izuku said and saw what he did for his son. He ended up visiting his wife in the mental hospital to talk to her and he came to so many realizations. He apologized to her and promised to do better and have her released from the hospital to return home if she wished or to move into a new home at her desire. This shocked the family and they were willing to hear him out and see his change. Touya Todoroki aka Dabi is an undercover hero for the hero commission in this AU. The family is aware of him being an underground hero. Dabi did it as a form of protest against his father since he wanted him to go into the spotlight but refused and went underground heroics. The family doesn't know his undercover look or name but he does return home often when he can. (He does not have the scars permanently. They are due to a quirk that changes his looks.) Katsuki had been giving Izuku money and gifts since part way through Middle School in exchange for the green-haired boy to stay away from Katsuki, but eventually, it slowly changed to be deals that if Katsuki gives Izuku money, he had to do XYZ. Essentially, Izuku walks up to Katsuki and asks him about some merch he wanted and Katsuki gave him the money for it in exchange for him to do various things like triple check his homework, go to bed at a reasonable hour, stop eating unhealthy food for X amount of days, etc. This didn't change when they entered UA, the two used to being subtle about this unique aspect of their relationship.
