After Occasions

"I love you Colin! I have since 6th grade! I was wondering if you'll accent my feelings!"
Silence.
"Of course Mirane! I love you too! Your my closest friend!"

This story isn't about two people falling in love. It's not about the love two people have had for all their life. It's about a girl who suffered a rejection from a boy who didn't even know he rejected her. We all know of rejection, whether it be of love or of a business offer, but it never feels good.
Mirane Winter. I girl who went through a lot. It started with a dead mother, then all the bad stuff, and ended with a rejection from the boy she loved. She was only fourteen at the time, and had known the boy since 6th grade. She ran away, to a different city, as cliché as it sounds. Then she ran into Adler Matthews. Her life bully. They'd known each other since they were kids, but had never become friends. At least not permanently. They had been friends once, but then as if a switch was flipped, it was instant hate starting after they both turned 8. Since then, he had teased and bullied her. He knew she had the biggest crush on Colin Stoll, a kind and famous model. Unfortunately for Mirane, he only thought of her as a close friend. Then surprisingly, her and Adler had become friends. After she became friends with him, she was introduced to a whole side of herself. One that spoke her mind and wasn't afraid of people not liking her. Through him, she made a lot of unexpected friends. She didn't know her love for him was much different from the love for a friend. But what happens after? What happens when she stops running from her 'missing' dad? What happens when she has to go back to the school that caused her so much pain and heartbreak? Will old feelings come back or will new feelings emerge? Will Mirane be able to deal with her own feelings, or will other people's problems distract her too much?
