Generations into the future technology has evolved but not like you'd think...
2040 is the year they've marked in the history books as the true beginning of World War III. Across the nations conflicts had been brewing, with every world super power made to take a side.
Over the years the government had poured every dollar into funding warfare advancements to get the edge against the enemy, but the rest of the world was always quick to follow suit. Over a few decades the economy began to crash, and by 2270 the free market economy that the United States so knew and loved became completely nonexistent. In these days, and in the generations before, the government had been paying families to send their children off to academies in order to train for specialized warfare. There were no schools, no grocery stores, no public services for anyone. The streets were desolate and overgrown. Cities run amok with renegades. There was only farming, looking out for your own, and bartering and selling, or else buying supplies directly from the government. In these times, you only had two choices, obey the government and fight for your country, or join a renegade gang and face becoming a federal enemy.
This story follows the experience of a young recruit Micah and her experiences joining the warfare academy for the first time. Accompanied by her older brother Ashton, who's about in a years time about ready to graduate, and play his part in the real war effort.

It was 2050, the year of the misery. The world War 3 happened, a nuclear war which ended up making the earth inhabited. But luckily there were survivors. There was an organization called 'Octagon Veranda' situated on a lonely Island which was covered by a special Nano cover which was supposed to last 300 years and it's a shield against radiation, bioweapons and chemical attacks. This organization of scientists was created to survive the World War, which could've wiped out humans from Earth. The communication system within the island was advanced and had no connection with outside to prevent AI attacks. It was protected in each possible way which is why humanity still lasts. It is 2201 now. Our little island is the only place humanity can survive on the earth but sadly it's a small island. The population is rising. So now we have a lot more problems to survive than radiation. There are two parts of the island. Inside and outside. Simply heaven and hell on the same island. If you can get inside you are more than lucky. If you get to live outside, you better pray for death. Inside the island is the place where the Octagon Veranda, the main buildings and the city are situated. Octagon Veranda, we work on eight sectors that help humanity to survive. Each sector has a chancellor, and together that's the Octagon council. Edward Sallow - Nano technology sector Kane Johnson - Chemical sector Kirstein Evens - Mechanicals and communication sector. Jessy Terco - Environmental science, Biology and human studies sector Elsa Blake -Medical sector. Bell Bostic - Security, exploration and social work sector Penny Browns - Hydrology and Farming Sector Jupiter Terco -Astro sector

Mutants have existed long enough to be properly integrated into society, but not long enough for everyone to have accepted them. Outside of the United States, a hub for mutant immigrants fleeing the oppressive laws of their own countries, fear of mutant syndrome bleeds through the cracks in mysterious deaths, obnoxious court rulings, and social isolation. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows in America, either ⸻ some states are more progressive than others, and it's a constant battle over who has what rights and where. But there is one class of mutants that nearly everyone can agree on avoiding: Class F. The Freaks. For awkwardly tall and perpetually oblivious homeschooler Noah Kirby, all that exists is his house and the little graveyard on his street in North Carolina. When the opportunity comes along to enroll as a first-year at F Class Academy, an up-and-coming school for the most dangerous mutants of the generation, it means opening his eyes to an entirely new world, one where mutant life isn't as easy as he thought it was. Noah has three goals to ensure his start at FCA goes smoothly: 1. Befriend his moody Ability Management partner Amaris, so that they don't both risk failing the class, 2. Get to the bottom of why he keeps waking up surrounded by dissected corpses, and 3. Make it through the year without getting killed by one of his classmates' disastrous accidents. It may sound impossible, but with a dash of optimism and the help of a lot of new friends, he's confident he can make it work. FCA is nothing like he's ever seen before, but it can't be so scary. At the end of the day, mutant highschoolers are just like any other highschoolers... right? [ This story is unabashedly inspired by franchises I liked when I was a kid. I'm mostly writing it just for fun and for my friends to read, but if you also liked stuff like the X-Men, Percy Jackson, and Ever After High, you might have a fun time too! ]

...We were so caught up in the shared moment of care free joy to notice the midnight grey Toyota pickup truck speeding directly towards us. Meters before impact dad finally caught on to what was about to happen, despite it being day the approaching vehicle's headlights blinded us as our cars breaks slammed on, the sound of the tires melting away as the rubber tires scraped against the pavement filled the air and the scent of burning rubber overwhelmed my nostrils, despite our efforts the brakes didn't slow us down, we were to late. There was nothing we could do as we collided head on..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Attempt two at writing a book lmao, summaries without spoilers are not my strong point but here you go: After a tragic child hood accident Astra is left utterly alone, forcing her to make a massive move across the states to live in Tennessee with her grandmother. A few years pass and Astra finds it difficult to deal with the trauma she experienced as a young child, but surrounded by friends and throwing herself into education she starts to heal, until she meets Jason. In the beginning Jason was a kind, caring guy who seemed genuinely interested in getting to know Astra, but not everyone is who they seem to be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TW LIST!!!! Welcome to the life of a teenager - she's loud, rambunctious, and most likely failing her classes. Microphone has always wanted to play in a band, on a stage where billions could watch her perform, as she gives out autographs to the crowd - but that's all just a dream, one that'll probably make it on the "discarded" list. She doesn't enjoy school, because they don't teach what she wants to learn. Is there a point in her attending if the teachers are assholes, and the students constantly pick on her for being herself? Stupid, it is. Follow the life of various highschoolers - such as Fan and Lightbulb, who wish to make a successful blog together, but it all backfires when the gossip they've been spreading all crashes down on them, and now suddenly, everyone in the school is giving them dirty looks, and not even their friends want to talk to them. Maybe you want to get to know Knife, and his journey on tackling his problems outside of school, like getting into fights that weren't his, or being out later than he was meant to. Would you like to listen to Tissues story? You might want to understand how he feels being in the hospital for most of highschool year, being isolated from people who he wants to call friends, but can't. They don't know him - due to how absent he is, everyone has basically forgotten that he goes here, and gets brushed off like a speck of dust on the kitchen counter. You'd feel like a burden. Highschool is different for everyone. Come along, and listen to the perspectives of each character - take a look inside their minds, and see what they go through. You might just discover things that nobody else knows - or not. It's up to you to continue along. TW: VIOLENCE VULGAR LANGUAGE VOMIT SUICIDAL REFERENCES/MENTIONS GORE (occasional..) 20 parts Complete

~ "And up close?" I asked stupidly. She studied me for a moment. "An empty fridge." "And that's supposed to mean...?" I egged her on. Now that I look back on it, I shouldn't have. "It means you're a disappointment." ~ ___________________________________________ After a war which almost ended the human race, a new generation takes lead. They are being trained in a school that suits their special abilities, which were given to them by scientists who believed these children could stop the war. However, these abilities do not always come in useful. Mark doesn't remember anything about his life before school, nothing. Nada. Nope. He only has one goal. "No one can know I can't remember." Tanni has a sweet disposition which is usually covered up by her defensive personality and a need to hide things important to her. Her ability is the worst of all. Touch means death. Will they be able to let go of the past, and learn to trust? Or will these abilities and sweet amnesia be the end of them?
