"The last thing I expected was a smartass grim reaper for a close friend, a hot girlfriend, and to be leading a group of freak-souls against the king of the dead."

Alys Manensdottir isn't having the best high school experience, to say the least.

When she finally rejoins school after constant moving and home-schooling, she's initially excited: new friends, a cute girl, a grim reaper at the foot of her bed- oh wait, that last part wasn't so expected. What follows is a tale of discovering her real sarcasm- er, real self- in more senses than one. Her own soul isn't what she thought it was, and that, apparently, has led to her being stalked her whole life by a grim reaper trying to kill her, who later turns out to be a reliable friend. As intimidating gods become tedious nuisances and people around her are being killed off, she struggles between stress and sarcasm, dating and disaster, high school and hell- literally. And just when she thinks she's got it all figured out, one last disaster threatens to change everything...

Werewolves and vampires don't mix, or that's what Kieran Callisto, a seventeen-year-old vampire, has believed all his life - until he falls for the Alpha's son. ***** When Kieran meets his new classmate, Mason Kane, he bristles with an unexplainable disdain. Soon it becomes apparent why: Mason is a werewolf. But when a fight turns into a sudden kiss that neither expects, Kieran's feelings for Mason turn to attraction in an instant. None of it makes sense - vampires and werewolves are supposed to be mortal enemies, so why does Kieran find Mason so irresistible? He knows that each kiss is dangerous, each bite is unpredictable...
