There's always something that bring people together: common interests, common enemies. There's also a bijillion things that tear people apart: disagreements, just deciding on the spot that "you do not like this person".
Now, in my town, things are pretty simple. Sure we take a few swings at each other once in a blue moon but overall, we get along just fine.
And who was it that created this tight-knit community?
That, my dear would be Lumps.
He couldn't really be described as an enemy (though we all thought him so) as he hadn't ever done anything wrong. However; there were no friendly feelings from anyone in town towards him, adults included.

And so, though no one liked him there, there he stayed: halfway down Pumperdig Street, lying in the front yard of the old abandoned house, tomb protruding from the mud he'd been swallowed in.
Lumps.

*****
When Kieran meets his new classmate, Mason Kane, he bristles with an unexplainable disdain. Soon it becomes apparent why: Mason is a werewolf. But when a fight turns into a sudden kiss that neither expects, Kieran's feelings for Mason turn to attraction in an instant. None of it makes sense - vampires and werewolves are supposed to be mortal enemies, so why does Kieran find Mason so irresistible? He knows that each kiss is dangerous, each bite is unpredictable...
