"Fairy Tales". Children's short stories containing magical and imaginary beings and events which aim to teach children a lesson. A simple and straightforward message... however, this story is far more complicated, as the world is anything as simple as a fairy tale.
Vicious, horrid monsters that plague the world's existence, these soulless creatures of darkness, Grimm, feast upon the flesh and fear of humans and other living beings. But, alas, humanity prides itself on the fact that it can and will survive through tragedy after tragedy. What a stubborn species we are. There are people who choose to fight the monsters to protect this fragile life we have. Some wear capes, some have animalistic traits, but they all wield weapons unique to only them. Some have even gained the favour of the Gods and obtained powers and weapons above everything else.
To train the future generations of warriors, huntsmen and huntresses, dedicated educational institutions have been built across the globe of Remnant in hopes of fighting back the enemies of humanity. Beacon Academy is one such place, one of the, if not the most prestigious in the kingdom of Vale. Here, only the very best, the very top of the mountain of challengers may have the opportunity to hone their craft and master their skills.
"Holy shit that sounded pretentious as fuck... who even came up with that?"
"...God, well, one of the two dumbasses making this shit happen in the first place."

(Vol 1-3 Beacon arc) "You can certainly fulfill your wish to "save someone". But a wish for you to save yourself, does not exist. You will embrace a borrowed ideal that is not yours, and you will probably pursue it until you die.
Over the course of history, heroes have risen, while others have descended into chaos. There was always someone willing to stand up and fight for a cause, no matter what the circumstances were, and that man, Imeya, Y/n, well, that was supposed to be his story. After suffering a prenatal damage that prohibited him from pursuing his dreams, he made the decision to assist his sister in growing and developing her vision instead of pursuing his own goals. However, he never let go of the notion. The world is in need of a guardian, a hero; will he be able to rise above everyone else, or will his fate eventually catch up to him?
