Suzie Coltrane Saves the Day

This is a close friend of mine who told me I could write this :D

Suzie Coltrane is a teenager trying to adjust to another move to another city. As she attempts to begin her life again in a new school with new friends, her father is killed in what seems like an accident. As Suzie struggles to cope with his death, she realizes that it was not an accident and that there are mysterious people looking for her and something her dad may have had. Suzie and her best friend, Gwen, set out on their own across the country in an effort to escape those who are chasing her in search of this strange item.
