Silco knew love was a dangerous game. More dangerous than the Undercity; more dangerous than Shimmer; perhaps even more dangerous than himself. He had loved Vander like a brother and look where that had got him: cold, spiteful, bitter. He swore to never put himself in such a vulnerable position again. Jinx was the only exception to that rule, for she was far too perfect to ever do wrong by him.

Until a new woman stormed into his path. A woman as fierce, untameable and comforting as the sea that Silco had almost drowned in. Her waves engulfed the entirety of his life, washing away all the control he once had. With this new barrier, Silco must decide between building the kingdom he desires or submitting to the depths of weakness and warmth.
