Aimee and Mark (or Ranboo, as he preferred to be called) had been friends ever since kindergarten in school. They planned to finish the final year of high school still as friends like they are now, but that dream is falling out of reach.
Aimee is continuously getting seriously hurt trying to protect Ranboo, and still feels like she isn't good enough.
Ranboo feels that he is letting Aimee get hurt, and isn't doing enough to protect her. He can't find a way to stop her from getting hurt, nor to repay her for saving his life.
Are they just black roses, a burden for each other to carry?
