She is an average college kid who knows a lot about hockey. He is a professional hockey player. Her new position in regards to the team changes how he plays and views relationships. To her, he's a sensation. To him, she's a mesmerizing obscurity. ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ "Why do no girls want to date Sam?" Nathan Bennett, the team captain asked them collectively. "Have you seen his face?" She gestured to him in response. "No, I mean like, his personality," he corrected himself. "Have you seen his personality?" She questioned once more, knowing she had the perfect answers. "Hey, women tell me all the time they love me!" Sam put both of his hands up in defense. "Who? Your mom?" Colin Fox nudged another player in the arm, "I'd totally do his mom." "Is she hot?" She turned toward Fox. "Well, yeah. Total milf." "I guess we know who Sam doesn't get his genes from," she shrugged her shoulders, while he glared at her. A smirk grew across her face as she kept the eye contact with him. She loved having the power of knowing she got on his last nerve.

Seraphina Calloway always believed she would recognize betrayal if it ever came near her marriage. She imagined it loud. Obvious. Unforgivable. She never imagined it would look like this. Like her husband smiling at another woman the way he used to smile at her. Like late-night messages that weren't inappropriate - just intimate. Like emotional comfort slowly being outsourced. And she definitely never imagined standing outside a glass office in downtown Los Angeles... Watching her husband hesitate before pulling away from another woman's lips. The kiss wasn't hungry. It wasn't desperate. It was worse. It was familiar. And in that single second - She realized she had already been replaced emotionally long before that moment happened. She didn't scream. She didn't storm in. She simply turned... And walked away from the life she thought was unbreakable.
