Kokichi opened his eyes.... how could he open his eyes? Hadn't his plan worked? He was in his dorm room. Was it all a dream?
He listened for the sounds he's grown accustomed to. Yelling, laughter, crying, the raw emotions of his.... acquaintances. Friends isn't quite the right word, is it? He'd die for all of them. Ok, most of them. Some of them. But he'd die for the group as a whole.
But as he listened, he was met with only silence. Because outside his door, his classmates were all dead or gone and left. He didn't know it yet, but his plan had worked. Yes, he had saved everyone. But his plan wasn't the only one going as it should.

He had of course found it impressive how what was most likely a lie was so widely believed with little proof that it wasn't just some made-up concept used for our own entertainment and to explan day-to-day inconveniences. But he had never actually been convinced that something as far-fetched as anguished and disturbed souls wandering the face of the earth looking for vengeance or to finish something they never got to in life. The reaction starts in the second year before the disabled island exam begins, plus a small change, where Ayanokōji still doesn't "declare" to Kei For those wondering, I have already talked to the creator of the fic and he gave me the go-ahead, so without saying anything else, I hope you enjoy one of my favorite Classroom of the elite fics, in my opinion.
