This is a short monologue I imagine one of my characters will say in my book that will come out eventually (hopefully). It's Lou's description of water and drowning.
It would probably be at the beginning just before the villain was introduced.
The book will be about the four wielders of the creator's powers, Lou having the most powerful one. She is locked up in a science government facility where they study her but eventually they make a mistake and she escapes. She gets her revenge on her mother and escapes to the dark city where she meets one of the other wielders, June. Eventually, they find the other two, and James, the last warrior, explains how they got their powers and what they have to do to gain full power and control. So they head into the forest in which they discover secrets of the past and surprisingly form a friendship.
There is more stuff going on but guess you gotta read the book (when it comes out) to find out more.

But after a chance encounter at a thrift shop, everything changes in a matter of seconds. Little that she doesn't know, her brother try to get rid of her due to envy. He was younger than her. Lucia was being appointed to become the next queen for the kingdom. The royal guards ambushed the princess and took her away to the witch's house near the ocean. The two white witches agreed to help the princess for her desperate plea to return to her home castle. And stop her brother for his act of disposing his only twin sibling. The two white witches told her to take a swim in the sea before leaving. Before Lucia tries to get out of the water, she was suddenly transformed into a mermaid by the two white witches. There are two ways to break the spell before her time is up by the next month. If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water. Will Lucia see her family again as a mermaid? How is she going to reach them if she can't swim as a mermaid? Princess Lucia was new to be a mermaid. I smelt something calming, like the smell of rain and vanilla and suddenly, a guy came in charging at Gabriel. Gabriel didn't have any time to react as he was knocked to the ground.
