"Theo gave up everything for Dylan... but will Dylan realize the truth before it's too late?"

After a sudden, unexplained absence, Theo returns to his boss, Dylan, with one request-financial help. But Dylan, swayed by the whispers of friends, believes the worst of him. What he doesn't know is that Theo has sacrificed his family, his future, and even his health to support Dylan's dreams.

Unaware that he's on borrowed time, Theo hides his terminal illness behind quiet smiles and fading strength. But there's one secret Theo can't bear to tell-the love that never faltered, even when Dylan forgot him.

Now, as Theo's time slips away, Dylan must confront the truth: some sacrifices are made in silence, and love, if not seen, may be lost forever. Can Dylan open his eyes in time?.

General Trigger Warning: This story contains themes of loss, heartbreak, illness, and emotional distress, which may be triggering for some readers.

Note: This is a work of fiction made purely from my imagination, sparked by my brokenhearted era. Lol. Any resemblance to actual events or people is coincidental.
-
I'm a forever amateur writer wannabe, so forgive me for any inconsistencies. There are times I'm full of passion while writing, and other times my obsessive self just wants to finish the chapter so I can move on to the next part where I'm really invested.

In any case, thank you for any support-reads, votes, comments, and kind feedback are welcome! If you liked it, please share!

"You should care, Dylan. You would still be living in the back of a car, stealing from Seven Eleven! Is that what you want?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The "Four Musketeers." That's what they called them. If they weren't all together they were two on two. And they give zero fucks about life. The Adopted one The Bad boy The Player The Best friend Dylan is like most troubled girls. She doesn't care about her grades, she skips school, hangs with the wrong crowds, and hates her parents. But of course there's a reason for all of this. Dylan is adopted. Dylan has always struggled with being adopted and she tends to fight everything in life. Many bad memories cause her to be the way she is. She desperately wants to forget her past, including some bad things she experienced, but the memories stay stuck in her mind. Dylan has three best friends who help her get by. The only three people she 100% trust and doesn't like to. They all have their own problems and lies they tell, but they help each other through it all. Especially her boyfriend Vince, who would do absolutely anything for her. He would die a thousand times over before anyone hurt Dylan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Dylan's not just my whole life, she makes my life whole. Some days she's the only reason I get out of bed. Without her in my life there is no point in living. She's like the air I breathe. Without her I can't live. She's my best friend and I will love her to the day I die." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This summer Dylan gets the opportunity to do what every guidance counselor has claimed she's always wanted to do . . . split up her family. Will she realize splitting up her family won't help anything? Or will she just not care? After all she was abandoned once. ❝That's the thing about love. It isn't going to be easy, it isn't going to be smooth, but it's going to be worth it. Because sometimes you have to take the plunge. And you never know if you'll make it out again.❞ Maybe it's the way he looked at her that day in kindergarten or maybe it's the way he was there for her all those years. Whatever it was, somewhere along the way Kaylee fell for Dylan - hard. She soon realizes, however, that feelings can be misinterpreted and fate often doesn't play in her favor. When a rift forms between the two, all hope seems lost and Kaylee is forced to move on. But later, when fate finally decides to twist in her favor, Kaylee is given a second chance to fix their romance. As the two work through resetting their relationship, they soon learn that friendships often don't go as planned, relationships aren't actually that simple, and words are not always easily said. And in the end, everything may just crash and burn. ******************************************* Warning: Read at your own risk! This is my first story on Wattpad (which I wrote when I was 14), so you know what that means - cringe, plot holes, and errors. It's not the most well-written; there are decent chapters and bad chapters. I hope you decide to give this story a chance anyways, though.
