A little girl was born into H.Y.D.R.A, her mother was in H.Y.D.R.A since she was a little girl, they experimented on her and used her DNA and another H.Y.D.R.A experiments DNA to make this child, they planted the DNA into the little girls mother, she was born and her mother was told that she would be taken away from her when she least expected it, her mother was very protective, never let the little girl leave her side, one day her mother was taken away from her and the little girl was abused for hours everyday, during Ultron the Avengers go to a H.Y.D.R.A base and find the little girl in a cell, Natasha brings her onto the quinjet and raises her like her own until they finally find her mother.

Eight years later, Jocelyn was captured by Hydra and turned into an experiment. For years, Jocelyn has been kept by Hydra, being a victim of abuse and frozen in a cryostasis chamber like the Winter Soldier.
