This happens with a cut in her forearm healed with a special ointment that let's the queen control her until the age of 21. If all is done as the queen directs, the mortal land will be destroyed before the 200 "gifted soldiers" turn 21, which is on the same day for each of them. Will Hagan be able to escape from the puppet she has become for the queen before it's too late?
