Sometimes your biggest enemy is your own self doubt, I wrote this to cope and to understand. The story follows Alara as she finishes her last year at school and emerges into her 20's. It follows her struggle as she tries to determine her feelings for Jules. There's an almost magnetic quality to Jules, she is effortlessly likeable, she doesn't demand approval, but somehow she gets it. Jules couldn't be more different from Alara and Alara knows it. (p.s. I originally wrote this as a film script which may be why the flow is a bit off. Open to comments and suggestions!)

Something about Mitch was new and fresh and her soul was just what Alex needed (little did she know). Secrets from the past are brought to the surface. A sad ending to a young lady's life. A realisation that family isn't always blood related. Alcohol isn't a medicine. Violence isn't a key. Hearts were never meant to be broken. Two things to take away: you never know what is going on in someone's head and the most important thing...you never know what happens behind closed doors.
