Alastair Aphelion is childhood best friend to one Remus Lupin. Both Alastair and Remus are ready to go to Hogwarts, especially Alastair.
Alastair has felt like he has never had a place in the world, though when he finds out he is half-blood, that all changes. Alastair convinced Remus to tell him how to become an animagus and became an animagus at age 6, only a year after finding out Remus is a werewolf and a year after Remus was bitten by Greyback, forcing Remus to become a werewolf. Alastair is one of the only people to know and accept Remus for being a werewolf.
