In this AU, Nico is a prince who has befriended the young merboy, Will. When his sister dies and he blames himself, he finds himself pushing Will away to the point where he forgets he ever existed, his mind convincing him his mermaid friend was just a figment of his imagination. Besides, mermaids aren't real, right?
This thought gets tested eight years later when Nico has run away from home to sail the seas with a group of other runaways. What happens when he comes across a familiar, golden tail in the vast ocean?

Hi guys! This is an old fanfic I've had in my google docs for a while now, and I decided to continue it! The first few chapters are pretty old, and while I've edited some of it, it probably won't be as good as the later chapters, so please keep reading!

When Will is told he has to go to high school, he doesn't have much of an opinion. Go there, protect some students, hang out with people he barely knew, be over with it. Fine, whatever.
