"No demi-god will ever capture your heart, Reyna." Aphrodite's words still haunt Reyna. She was falling for Nico but couldn't fall for him all the way because she was afraid of Aphrodite's promise. "I can't. I can't be broken again." She said to her reflection on the mirror hanging on the wall. "Not again."
Nico starts to convince her otherwise.
"I love you, Reyna Ramirez." He reached for my hand. "I love you so much." I squeezed his hand. "I-I love you too." Reyna felt warm and tingly. It's official, I love him. And he loves back, all is great.
"Remember my promise, Reyna." Aphrodite's voice rang in her head. I closed my eyes. "Please Go away." I whispered. "what?" Nico asked. "Not you hun, I-I though I saw a fly." A say to him nervously. I hear Aphrodite giggle. "Remember me, Reyna."

Nico felt like Icarus. Fly too close to the sun, and your wings will melt. Fly too close to the sea, your wings will grow heavy. Nico had already flown too close to the sea. He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake.
