I never used to like Naruto. He was loud, obnoxious, and his energy was somehow too much for me, but after sometime, his optimism was reeling me in. His personality was alluring and his warmth, inviting. His presence became comforting and his smile was heart warming. With a lot of unfortunate things happening more often than it should, I realized, he became my ever lasting light at the end of a dark and cold void.
(A pleasant dream where a fictional character comforted me after falling asleep with anxious and self-deprecating thoughts. Dreams like these, as cliché as they are, mean a lot to me, even if they aren't real. This is mainly an indulgence of mine, but please, enjoy and I hope it comforts you the way it comforted me)

It was dark and lonely. No one was there. Suddenly there was a boy with red hair and coral eyes (would that be his eye color?) He smiled at me and said "I'm here now. There is nothing to be afraid of." I run up to him and hug him. He hugs back but harder. Then a kunai stuck into my back. I felt hot tears poor out as I asked "why?"
