But at the end of the day, she also, is only human, a human like any other, with insecurities, and secrets, and emotions, and pet peeves, but all this she has to conceal just to portray herself as the immaculate figure that the media wants, and it seems she excels as it. But all this at what cost?
Her own life is crumbling away, she is reeling under the pressure of society, and there seems to be nobody by her side, no shoulder she can lean on, no arm to cradle and comfort her, she fabricates the love of so many others.

The Cruelest Summer
To say Summer 2016 was monumental for Taylor would be a massive understatement. She met the love of her life, feuded with pop culture's biggest power couple, ended two highly publicized romances, dismantled her "squad", and dealt with lots of family drama. It's no wonder so many songs in her discography touch upon these themes. This story focuses on Taylor and Joe's love story but has other plot points. I tried to make it as accurate as possible, referencing song lyrics, things Tay/Joe have said in interviews, and known Taylor sightings. Of course, as this is a fanfic, take everything with a grain of salt- I'm just a swiftie head cannoning lol. Most importantly though, happy reading!!
